BRONCO TILE ETCH
is a specially formulated fast acting acid which removes oxides and other impurities. It is used as an alternative method for machine sanding that will etch the surface of most tiles and cement surfaces. It eradicates the glossy surface to allow certain paints and sealants to adhere to the substrate. It also prepares tiles and cement surfaces for the application of new tiles. It can also be diluted to act as a fast acting cleaner, fungus and mold remover. ETCHING IS PERMANENT
IDEAL FOR:
• Furniture
• Interior and Exterior Floors
• Glazed Ceramic Tiles
• Homogenous Tiles
• Marble
• Granite
• Unpainted Cement
BENEFITS:
✔Simple to use and apply
✔Less work than sanding
✔Time saving
✔Gives an even and uniform surface
✔Water clean up
✔Provides resistance to slips and slides for a safe environment.
✔Provides better surface for paint application
AVAILABLE SIZE:
500 ml, 1000 ml
Direction: Mask off areas that you do not want to etch. Etching is permanent and irreversible! Use protective gloves, glasses and equipment. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Open lid, remove safety cap and pour contents into a small plastic container
Use a small brush to apply onto substrate. Dip brush into container and spread onto tile in a long, smooth stroke. Cover whole area of 1 tile before moving to the next tile. This is to ensure that etching is done evenly. Application should be wet but not pooling. Let Tile Etch remain for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove immediately by wiping with a very wet rag or by hosing off with water. Check if surface is etched evenly and dullness of surface is even. Repeat procedure if etching is not sufficient. Etching strength will vary depending on substrate density and material.
If desired etch is achieved, rinse with large amount of water to prevent acid from etching into tile and cement beneath.
Let dry completely and apply desired clear coat or top coat paint as required. It is recommended to thin or reduce paint by 10% on the first coat to aid in adhesion of paint. Let dry and recoat as required.
COVERAGE
500 ml can treat 4 to 6 square meters depending on type of substrate and porosity.
1000 ml can treat 8 to 10 square meters depending on type of substrate and porosity.
